Burning Ridge Golf Club opened in 1980 and was designed by noted architect Gene Hamm. The 18-hole, par-72 course stretches to about 6,780 yards from the back tees, with a slope rating around 128 and course rating in the low 70s.
The layout is characterized by tree-lined fairways, elevated greens, well-placed bunkering and water hazards that demand smart shot-making more than sheer distance. In 2005 the course underwent a significant renovation—fairways were widened, bunkers updated, and playability improved—after which it earned accolades including “Golf Course of the Year” for both the Myrtle Beach area and South Carolina in 2006.
Off the course, the clubhouse includes a full pro-shop, grill, and large outdoor patio overlooking the final hole—providing a welcoming spot to relax post-round.
